New Car Tyres & Fitting

Driving in the rain can sometimes be worrying and scary, but ensuring you have the right tyres fitted to your car can remove some of the anxiety.

Quality tyres don’t have to cost the earth.

At Branigans Budget Tyres you will find cheap new and used tyres to help you stay safer on the road.

Take a look

Make sure you check your tyres on a regular basis. The harsh road conditions in Australia can cause a lot of wear and tear so you need to be sure that there is always sufficient tread. The tread helps keep your car on the road in the wet so if there is not enough tread the risk of skidding is increased, as is your stopping distance.

So, check the surface of the tyre, the legal tread depth in Australia is 1.5mm but it’s not ideal to leave them until they reach that depth, especially in wet conditions.

You should also regularly check the air pressure of your tyres. Not only will this help reduce excessive wear, it helps keep the right part of the tyre where it needs to be on the road and not uneven.

A proper inflation will also reduce your fuel bill, so it makes sense economically and for safety. If you are unsure of the correct pressure, you will find it either in your car’s manual or on the wall of the tyre itself.
